Falling| A Poem

Step onto the cracks beneath your feet,
Watch the ground on which you stand split into two.
Falling through, you reach for a hand,
You get a grasp of nothingness, a grasp of loneliness
A hint of sadness, and you start to break.

As you look up to a sky that holds no stars,
No constellations, nothing to keep you above the water
As you slowly start to drown, fighting for oxygen,
Fighting for freedom.

You start to lose your senses,
With no balance of mind,
Nostalgia hits you, as the memories flood back through.

You start to gain conciseness,
Salty tears stream down your cheeks,
as they make their way to the clothes glued to your body by sweat,
The same sweat that drips down your forehead,
As you sit in your bed, pulling at your hair,
To make it stop.
To make it stop
Just make them stop.

Just make them go away, I won’t ask for more if you choose to stay.
Watch as the night turns to day.-H
